HiPo - never heard of?
“HiPo” stands for High Potentials and is the name of the funded start-up support project “Technologie orientierte Unternehmen im Rheinland - High Potentials”. The award-winning project is meant for technology-oriented start-ups. After a pre-selection phase, the founders or founding teams benefit from a unique development concept:
Personality-oriented consulting
Promising founders (short: “HiPo”) profit from a proven coaching scheme implemented by experienced start-up advisors. This is supplemented by a new personality-oriented approach: We will examine which motives determine your actions. According to this very personal motivation framework thus identified (cf. personality analysis) we will advance your start-up project. At the bottom line, the HiPo project epitomises a holistic start-up support scheme that is without equal in the German subsidy and development landscape.
Multistage selection process
A multistage selection process screens the applicants according to the central criteria marketability and motivation analysis and identifies who is eligible for the start-up support. Applicants chosen as HiPos will profit from additional financial benefits (cf. service package). Die development scheme is clearly focussed on the technology sector. Beyond that, the application procedure is also open to start-up personalities, no matter whether young or middle-aged, who are willing to enter the competition with their innovative products and smart services. All subsidies are financed from North Rhine-Westfalian and EU budgets.
